KAMURAN AK

1975’de Bulgaristan Şumnu’da doğdu. 1997’de Anadolu Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Seramik Bölümünü bitirdi. 1999 yılında Toprak Seramik’te tasarımcı olarak çalıştı. 2000 yılında İtalya Sassuolo’da bulunan Gamma Due Tasarım Stüdyolarında incelemelerde bulundu. 2002’de Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü’nde Araştırma Görevlisi Olarak Atandı. 2007’de Anadolu Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsünde “Osmanlı’dan Günümüze Türk Yemek Kültüründe Seramik Yemek Kapları” konulu Yüksek Lisans tezini tamamladı. Halen Anadolu Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsünde Sanatta Yeterliği devam eden sanatçının; 2004-2010 Uluslararası Muammer ÇAKI Seramik Yarışması, 9-11. Altın Testi Seramik Yarışması, Gizem Frit Seramik Eserler Yarışması, Alanya Belediyesi Hediyelik Eşya Tasarım Yarışması ve 3. Uluslararası Katılımlı Genç Seramikçiler Karo Yarışması olmak üzere yedi ödülü bulunmaktadır. Kamuran AK, Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi’nde çalışmaya devam etmektedir.

KAMURAN AK

Kamuran AK was born in 1975 in Shumen, Bulgaria. He completed the Department of Ceramics at the Anadolu University, Faculty of Fine Arts. In 1999 he worked as a designer at Toprak Ceramics. In 2000 he observations at Gamma Due Design Studies in Sassuolo, Italy. In 2002, he was appointed as research assistant at the Social Sciences Institute at Afyon Kocatepe University. In 2007, he completed his postgraduate thesis themed “The Ceramic Food Dishes in Turkish Food Culture from the Ottoman to the Present” at the Social Sciences Institute, Anadolu University. The artist is sustaining his artistic competence studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Anadolu University. He was awarded seven prizes at the 2007-2010 International Muammer Çakı Ceramic Competition, 9-11 Golden Jug Ceramic Competition, Gizem Ferit Ceramic Works Competition, Alanya Municipality Souvenir Design Competition and the 3rd International Young Ceramic Artists Tile Competition. Kamuran AK is working at Afyon Kocatepe University.
